Ashleigh and Scott Narrows Landing Wedding.
Ashleigh and Scott were married on Saturday at The Narrows Landing hotel here in the mighty Waikato, and true to the Waikato and New Zealand weather in general the day dawned with rain and didn't look like it was going to clear for us to be able to get into the beautifully manicured gardens at Ashleigh's parents house. However the weather cleared in the afternoon and once the ceremony and all the official parts of the day were over the bridal party jumped into cars and headed back to the house for some bridal party photos on the drive way and grounds.

Matt & lisa's Engagement shoot.
Matt & Lisa run a very popular local cafe and are super busy people but we managed to find a sneaky morning to schedule in an engagement shoot for them..... We got almost perfect weather too, and we had chosen a stunning location for the shoot, so needless to say we had a pretty cool time !!

Carrie & Mitch's roof top engagement shoot
Carrie & Mitch were kind enough to come out for some engagement photos on Sunday afternoon and let me play with a couple of cool little lenses that im wanting to use more for weddings . These two were just adorable, the whole session...just soo in love and cant take their eyes off each other..Love it X
Daniel & Kalsie's stunning Lake Okataina wedding.
I think I am just going to have to let images speak for themselves as I can try and tell you just how much these two love each other and I can try and tell you would an epic wedding this was with awesome people yet I think the images are going to say nit far better then anything I can write so here we go.......Daniel & Kalsie, Thank you so much for having me along to capture your day and a huge thank you to the families for welcoming me with such warmth and lastly the bridal party for being so much fun and generally being awesome!!
Jonathon & Andrea's home engagement photo shoot
Jonathon and Andrea met during a Chinese sports tournament a few years ago and played in the same team. They kept in touch while Andrea was at University at Dunedin and started dating in 2012 and here we are now preparing for their wedding ceremony later this year with plans for a Chinese Tea ceremony the day before which I am so exciting about being able to attend and capture for them, and then the next day the wedding ceremony is to be held out at Mystery Creek surrounded by family and friends from all over the world.
Sunday evening I popped out to their home to capture some relaxed family styled engagement photos for them along with their daughter Emily we had such a fun evening with Emily loving being in front of the camera.
Jade & Barend's Taitua Arboretum Engagement shoot
Always really neat when fellow photographers ask you to photograph their wedding day, so when Jade, from Jade Thorby Photography got hold of me and asked if I was available to shoot her wedding in April next year I was delighted to be able to day yes!.
Yesterday I met up with Jade and her partner Barend at Taitua Arboretum here on the outskirts of Hamilton to have some and capture some engagement photos for them, Here are just a few select images from their shoot.

I knew I was going to love working along side Scott and Lynn from the moment Lynn messaged me with.."your pictures are amazing"..Is there any chance your available for our day"........So met up and chatted through their day and decided we needed to meet up one afternoon to have some fun and get some relaxed fun engagement captures for them. We met up on a day where it had been forecast to rain all day and we all waited for the heavens to open but it never did start raining, so we set off with some dark clouds heading our way and chanced our luck..good thing we did too as the light was so soft with the clouds acting as giant soft box for us.... here are just a few from our shoot.
Mikayla & Elaih portraits
Mikayla and Elaih popped up to see me last week for some studio portraits. I feel so blessed to be living in such a wonderful peaceful country as New Zealand with its friendly people and deep connection to the land and rich heritage. How could we not do some portraits that reflected that .....Mikayla even brought her mothers Korowai...just beautiful...
Studio portraits with Grace
I had the gorgeous Grace in the home studio this last week for some nice modern portraits and got to crack out the new backdrops and brand new apple boxes for clients to sit on use as props. Grace was a real star with three different changes of outfit and accessories and took direction really well although I feel that she left with my words, " chin forward and down " repeating over in her head for the rest of the day !!

The colors at the Taitua Arboretum in Autumn are just stunning and combine that with a gorgeous couple and the some divine evening light, all leads to a little magic !!
Ashleigh & Scott's stunning sunset engagement shoot at Raglan beach
Love having Raglan beach so close to us, with just a short and scenic drive over why wouldn't you have your engagement shoot held there!! With stunning Te Toto Gorge just a 15 minute drive further down the road providing stunning west coast scenery and then the option of several different locations at the beach I am always spoiled for choice and never disappointed with the gorgeous autumnal light at the moment !!
