Matthew & Robyn, Markovina vineyard Estate.

Matthew & Robyn married at Markovina Estate Vineyards Kumeu in a stunning garden ceremony.

The venue is just a perfect mix of stunning gardens and superbly designed inside, outside flow with so many options for photos we were a little spoiled, and blessed to be part of this day.... I started the day with Robyn and the girls getting ready at Bethels Rd high at a property high on the hill, with stunning views back to the sky tower and Auckland before we all headed onto Markovina Estate for the ceremony where Matthew and the boys were waiting patiently for Robyn to arrive, and the smile on Matthews face when he saw her walking down the aisle...Just beautiful..........After the ceremony we headed for photos and then back in for speeches and bubbles..the fizzy kind and the kind that fall from the ceiling for the first dance.... and then into some legendary dance moves as the evening slipped away into night........ Here's a little taster of the day...........

Aaron & Bobbie, The Hunting Lodge.

I headed up to Auckland on Friday to capture the wedding of Aaron and Bobbie at The Hunting Lodge Winery. The forecast storm managed to hold off until after the ceremony ensuring we got plenty of time to get some fab captures for them, and we were very lucky that they had chosen to have a first look before the ceremony as the late afternoon brought grey skies and and impressive thunderstorms Here are just a small selection.

Bobbies's dress was just stunning , It took my breath away when I first saw it .....

Then a first look with Dad..Such a special moment for these two........

And then off to The Hunting Lodge to meet Aaron and their own first look before heading off round the winery for photo's......

Aaron is a very clever guy, the 'Do it yourself" kind of guy and he made that LOVE sign .....In two days......yep folks...two days and it was perfection !!

The wind had really started to pick up by the time we got onto the drive way.....

Barend & Jade's Raglan Wedding

Just a super quick blog post for this lovely couple with a few images in from yesterdays epic wedding out at Raglan.. Just as we thought the weather was going to pack in and turn grey and rainy for the day it had a change of mind and decided to be lovely and warm so Barend and Jade could get married outside on the clifftops at Raglan beach just as planned.....Here are just a few form the Bridal party photos.

We found the most adorable vintage bridge with an old willow tree hanging over and a tree lined driveway that was just dreamy !!

Oh my gosh that car......Wow !!!

The girls were absolutely on point and looked amazing !!

And the boys looked super handsome, although my tough man pose turned into everyone practicing their best Zoolander expressions and ended it fits of laughter......!!

Then we headed to the beach, just as the sun was almost down and casting long end of day shadows across the beach........

And as we were all still giggling away from the boys Zoolander poses, A bit of skipping down the beach seemed appropriate!!... We couldn't stop laughing... and of course we made them do it several times.......!!

Then down to some dreamy photos for the newly married couple on the rocks as the sun set behind the cliffs.......

Danielle and Keyarn's Vilagrads wedding.

Danielle and Keyarn were married on Saturday at Vilagrads winery here in the Waikato and with family flying in from Iran to help these two celebrate we just knew it was going to be an amazing day , one where two families with diverse and colorful cultures and back grounds came together and became one.. just stunningly beautiful and my heart is still singing for this lovely couple two days after!!

Sean & Karen's Red Barn wedding day

It would be a huge understatement to describe Sean & Karen's wedding day as just

"a wedding". Friends and family traveled from the UK and France to be part of their day, some with only just enough leave for a week and then they have to be back, It was an event full of love and friendship..The coming together of people from all over the world ...and It was such an experience hearing the stories of their journey, it was an adventure, a holiday, a long distance relationship for a while; a journey that started as a vacation for one and a fresh start, a chance of re discovery and the realization that you couldn't stand to be apart from this person, . Sean & Karen were married at The Red Barn in the Waikato, in New Zealand and decided to have a first look experience on the stunning drive way. The whole day was such a joyous experience for all their family friends. It was such an honor to be part of their day.

Sean & Brooke's Whitianga Wedding.

Well the wet weather struck again on the weekend for Brooke & Sean's big day at Whitianga but the thing I really loved about them and how they approached their big day was that they just wanted to be married.... their way.....nice and relaxed,with friends and family around them and just have fun ..what more can anyone ask for..a day to remember because of the people who made it to Whitianaga despite the shocking weather and where present for the ceremony and then partied hard into the night......Leading to some legendary dance moves.....epic images and even better video.. .....Thank you so much Brooke and Sean for sharing your day with me!

Cody & Kristen's Lake Taupo wedding

Lake Taupo was the stunning back drop for Cody & Kristen's wedding on the weekend and even the weather behaved itself for us, even though it threatened a bit of rain, it came out warm and sunny and made for the perfect day for Cody and Kristen to exchange vows in front of family and friends at the stunning Omori Lodge.

Robyn & Matty's beach engagement shoot..

Such a gorgeous weekend just gone capturing peoples wedding days and then this sweet romantic beach engagement session for Matty & Robyn. There getting married in a few months time at stunning venue in Auckland and I just cant wait to be part of their big day......here are just a few pics from our shoot out at one of my favorite places...no prizes for guessing....Raglan.

Love heading over to Raglan for engagement shoots or weddings...West coast New Zealand beach at its best, black sand moody skies, rocks to scramble over and large powerful waves to make sure you keep an ever watchful eye out when shooting.. Sunday evening I meet up with Bobbie-Lee & Aaron for a fun relaxed engagement shoot out at Raglan, I was hoping for a sunset but Raglan turned on its moody skies instead for us , which I love almost as much !

Met up with Christina & Wayne yesterday morning here in the Waikato. They're getting married in March and they traveled down from Auckland to have a meeting with myself, and grab some sneaky shots while location scouting with them, and then straight onto the venue to finalize the plans for the big day.

I had the absolute please of heading down to Tongariro last week to capture some engagement photos for this lovely couple. They live high in the hills on a huge station with sweeping views across to Ruapehu in one direction and back across lake Taupo the other way. Accessible by 4 wheel drive only ( believe me, I tried....my poor Honda...!!) they collected me from the bottom of the drive and we headed up in to the hills of this private farm. The feeling of being so blessed and lucky, to live in such a diverse and beautiful country as New Zealand never leaves me, but when your stood on the top of a hill staring at such view it just takes your breath away...... bit like the couple themselves really, fun loving, caring and genuinely warm.

Jessie & Rochelle's enchanting forest wedding

Jessie & Rochelle were married on Saturday at The Laughing Peacock at Orini in the enchanting forest setting. Another stunning January day that thankfully cooled down just a little bit for us later in the afternoon.

We had so much fun with these guys, I don't think they stopped laughing and giggling all day and it was so infectious!!

Grant & Tamsyn's Eagles Ridge Wedding

Grant and Tamsyn had the most beautiful celebration at the lovely venue that is Eagle’s Ridge this past Saturday! These two are just our kind of people —, best friends, , lovers of their fur babies, and truly warm and kind to everyone around them! It was a complete joy to photograph their wedding!! It was also the most gorgeous day in January, so hot and with views out across the bay to Mount Maunganui, It was just breath taking, and made for the most perfect back drop for these two to exchange their vows. They had a gorgeous fun loving bridal party too that happily jumped in cars after the ceremony, on the couples requests and headed down to the beach for some photos there.

The Wedding of Dane & Wendy The Boat Shed, Lake Karapiro.

Well it rained and rained yesterday for the wedding of Wendy & Dane and then just when I thought it may start to ease off just a little for us, It rained some more got a little heavier , and then added some gusty winds in to the day just to mix it up a bit for us.... However that couldn't dampen the spirits of this couple who just loved having their friends and family around them to celebrate this very special day..... They were even brave enough to head out onto the drive way for some captures there too!! Huge thank you for sharing your day with me and the kind souls who came out , held umbrellas and tried to keep us dry !!

Cameron & Sonja's Red Barn wedding.

I could tell you so many lovely stories from Cameron & Sonja's wedding about the couple themselves and the journey that led them to this wonderful wedding day, from the very first time they met right to the proposal to the design of the rings and the thought and attention to detail that has gone into making this day the most perfect day for them.........But all anybody really needs to know is that these two are true soul mates and as Sonja walked down the aisle to an Instrumental of Cold Play's 'Paradise' you just knew how perfect these two were for each other.

Hamilton Gardens Wedding of Jamie & Cass

Well when two people meet from completely different back grounds and culture, and they just know they are meant to be together you get a love like no other, one that is bonded so deep that oceans and distant cant separate, and families come together as one and with genuine joy and happiness seeing the emotion in the faces of their loved ones, you get the wedding of Jamie and Cass. Families flew in from as far away as Hong Kong to be at Hamilton Gardens to be part of this very special day on Saturday and the day was just perfect !!

Keryn & Richard's Enchanting Forest Engagement shoot.

Yesterday I headed out to meet Keryn and Richard to capture some engagement photo's for them and have a really good play with a couple of fully manual lenses to see what we could get and I have to say I am pretty pleased with the results!! I knew Lynn and Scott were going to have the most awesome day from the very first time I meet them. Two really superbly relaxed humans with a great sense of fun, and they just wanted a day surrounded by their friends and family and to have fun...well they certainly had the most amazing day and I was lucky enough to be part of it !! Huge congratulations to you !!!!! Even had time for trip to Burger King !!!!!
