Well MIca and Courtney’s wedding on Saturday was the last wedding for me for this year and It couldn’t have gone better, such a special day, and full of so much love, with a deep connection to each other and their faith that is so strong and so powerful you could feel it in the earth coming up through you like an electrical charge, you just knew you were part of something that much bigger than you will ever understand…. Oh and don’t forget the giggles , the boys brought their A game and provided us with entertainment for the bridal party shoot that was legendary !

The Wedding of Rachael and Jonny | Zenders Cafe and Function center

Jonny and Rachael were married at Zenders here in the Waikato , I started my day with the girls at an amazing air bnb on the banks of the Waikato river before heading on to the venue for the ceremony, the weather was very unsettled with some moody skies threatening rain while the ceremony was taking place, Everyone remained dry through the ceremony which was great for the guest and wedding party alike!!

The wedding of Andre and Zoe | Hamilton

I headed out on Saturday to photograph the wedding of Andre and Zoe here in Hamilton, and what a wonderful day it was too ! Zoe had opted to get ready at the family home not far from the church the family attend and surrounded by memories of a wonderful child hood and growing up into the young vibrant intelligent and kind young lady she is today she was helped into her wedding dress by her bridesmaids and mother before heading to the church where Andre was waiting .

Raglan elopement wedding of Rachael and Lee

Lee and Rachael were married last Friday at a fabulous small venue organized by the lovely folk from Box on the hill , and local Raglan wedding companies providing cake and flowers all seems to perfect, I stopped off at Ngarunui beach to have a look at the surf and then popped round to Whale bay just along the road to watch the surfers and check out the waves crashing against the rocks there, all very dramatic, before heading just up the road to the air bnb where the ceremony was going to take place. And what a spot it was too, the views were stunning and just perfect for an elopement ceremony.

After the ceremony we headed on down to Ruapuke beach about 30 mins down the road for more photos on the beach with their two awesome children..

Epic day on Saturday for Sam and Anna’s Wedding at Rosenvale, even the pupperino was invited and carried the rings down the Aisle at the wedding !

The Wedding of Corbyn and Kimberly

Corbyn and Kimberly tied the knot on Saturday at Windy ridge wedding and function center just up the road in Ohaupo , with the bride staying at Ohaupo Olives which is literally 2 mins away and gorgeous setting for us to pop back to for bridal party photos. The day started off hot and sunny and that’s the way it stayed with guest arriving at the venue and heading for cover under the beautiful tress they have on the lawn by the ceremony location. Surrounded by family and friends they said there vows and exchanged rings and sealed the deal with a kiss ! Thanks so much for such a great day and thankyou for your genuine warmth and hospitality, you guys are amazing !!

The wedding of Sam and Bridget | kawhia Farm wedding

Well we set off to Kawhia with dark clouds threatening rain which seemed to hug Pirongia and send the odd light shower onto the windscreen of the car as we traveled through along Waikato country roads leading us up hills and over to kawhia. As we got to the top and looked down over Kawhia we could see the clouds starting to break and the harbor and coastline open up before us and our hearts lifted and we knew that the clouds were going to hold off for Sam and Bridget and the day was full of promise . Cathy started with the boys at the farm and I head round to the very last house on the harbor where the girls were getting ready and with much excitement we anxiously waited for the boys to arrive at the jetty for the first look before heading on into the hills for bridal party photos before the groom and his groomsmen traveled back to the white sand beach where the ceremony was being held and awaited the arrival of the bride and bridesmaids who arrived in style by boat !!

Samantha and Jarrod | The Old Church | Wedding | Napier

Headed down to the stunning Hawkes bay last weekend to capture the wedding of Samantha and Jarrod at The Old Church at Napier. The day was just perfect for them, even the weather behaved with the clouds looking a little dark but holding onto any rai n they had. They had opted for a first look before the ceremony and had chosen a cute little spot on a stone bridge with a little stream and waterfall babbling along underneath at The Botanical Gardens and it was the most perfect location for them . After that we headed back down to the water front for more pics and and then onto The old Church for the ceremony were their family and guests were waiting excitedly for them. So much love and warmth and laughter through out the day and of course it wouldn’t have been complete had we not dashed them out into the vines as the sun was disappearing for some sunset captures…Congratulations , And thanks for a superb day !!

Zack and Rennee | Pirongia Pines wedding

Yesterday’s epic wedding of Zack and Renee at Pirongia pines wedding venue, we set off thinking it was going to rain and how wrong could we have been, the day turned into the warmest day of spring so far and has us all ducking for cover and finding the shade where ever we could , here are just a few from the day,

Te Miro | Cambridge Farm Wedding of Hayley & Stephen

Hayley and Stephen had the most perfect wedding day this weekend at their wonderful farm here in the Waikato, A day that even a certain pesky world wide pandemic couldn’t get in the way of, even tho the week before we were not sure at all if the day was going to go ahead, Auckland was in lock down and Hayleys parents and her wedding dress were stuck there along with other family and guest that were all waiting for news to come that the restrictions were to be lifted…And thank goodness on the Friday before we all got the news we wanted and restrictions were lifted !! Hayley and Stephen had friends and relatives stuck all over the world that had planned to be there on the day but sadly just couldn’t get here to be part of the celebrations, however there were so many speeches and stories filled with love and warmth ( and tears of laughter) that it felt they were all close.

I had such an amazing day, everyone was so warm and friendly and inclusive that I didn’t want to leave !

Had the absolute pleasure of being asked to be part of Saatchi and Mark’s wedding day at the family property here in the Waikato, The sun was doing its part to make sure the day was glorious and the hottest day so far this summer, and the amazing family and friends of Saatchi and Mark welcomed us into the day with such warmth and joy that I feel my soul has been forever touched and will always carry a little piece of that warmth and love from day with me.

Saatchi and Mark had chosen some amazing vendors to share the day with and the coordination by the amazing Wild&Whim helped the day go so smoothly.

Loren & Kris | Raglan Beach | Engagement session

You can just never tell what the weather is going to do out at Raglan Beach … As I met up with Loren and Kris the sun was out and a perfect summer evening and as we headed down the beach the sun quickly and unexpectedly ducked behind a cloud and refused to be seen again, but that is the wonderful thing about west coast New Zealand and Raglan, you never know just what your going to get.. didn’t stop Loren and kris having some fun and getting some cool photos for their engagement..

I Love heading out to Raglan for engagement shoots, west coast New Zealand is just so dramatic and wild and its forever changing, their are days you can arrive at Raglan Ngarunui beach and the sun is beating down and the black volcanic sands burn your feet as you dash to the waters age and other times you arrive and its dark and moody and the clouds are dark and threatening rain, the surfers are bobbing up and down in the water and you are reminded of how quickly the weather can change out here and how you really wouldn’t have it any other way as its just stunning and provides the perfect west coast beach environment for couples for their engagement photos.

Zack and Renee are getting married early next year and I cant wait for their big day !!

Shaun & Celine | The Red Barn | Waikato wedding

You just cant beat a Red barn wedding !! From the stunning setting and surrounding farm land and deer , to ‘That driveway’ that fairy tales are made of, i’m pretty sure and then to top it off the sunsets you get … just a dreamy location for a wedding , Add into that a stunning bride that just took your breath away and a dashing groom all surrounded by loving family and friends who welcomed me into the day with such genuine warmth, fun and kindness that you just felt knew it was going to be an amazing day, and I wasn’t wrong… What a day these two had… Staff at The Red Barn looked after everyone so well, and the ceremony went off without a hitch , vows were exchanged and a kiss to bring it all together , with lots of laughter and fun the guest were worked up an appetite and were treated to fabulous meal and then as guest were just finishing and preparing for speeches , the bride and groom sneaked out with me into the meadow on the hills for some sunset photos….. what a day !!

The Breeze Waikato 99.4fm Elopement giveaway |Box On the Hill | Rachel & Conan

Yesterday I headed out to Box On The Hill to be part of the Box On The Hill and Breeze Elopement giveaway, Such a great day, the build up was so exciting with The Breeze radio station announcing the winners as Rachel & Conan and they had Stu and Camille as their witnesses while Breeze staff made video and i worked my magic with the camera for the day taking photos, Huge thanks to Box On the Hill for asking me to be part of the day and all the other vendors involved in making the day as excellent as it was, And yes… I got to eat some cake and oh my…it was delicious !!!
