The wedding of Dan and Cassie | The Red Barn | Waikato

What can I say… this was an incredibly special wedding for me to be part of and I cant put into words how grateful and humble I am to have been part of the day…….Dan and Cassie had the most wedding-perfect day, I started with Cassie and her bridesmaids and family at fabulous accommodation with the most stunning Lake Karapiro views from the balcony, everyone was super relaxed and looking forward to the day, the weather was perfect, and we couldn’t have asked for better !! After I had captured the bride getting ready we all headed off to the Red Barn where the guest and groom were waiting for the ceremony and reception,

The Red Barn staff ensured everything went off smoothly throughout the day and kept everyone well-fed and hydrated in the heat and sent us off for photos with our own hampers of goodies to make sure everyone was looked after while we were out getting some fab captures around the stunning property that is the Red Barn,

Once we had finished we headed back to the reception for a scrumptious dinner before heading back out into the fields at sunset for a seriously dreamy photoshoot with the couple as the sun dipped behind the hills and then headed back in for some of the most hilarious speeches i’ve heard in a long time..!

Some absolutely brilliant memories were made at this wedding …. Thanks so much to both families for welcoming both myself and my second shoot into your homes once again with such genuine warmth and love, XXXXXXX

The Wedding of Peter and Jennifer, The Red Barn

Well the forecast for last weekend wasn’t good at all and even though we all had our fingers crossed that the forecast would change and those big black rain clouds would clear to just and overcast kinda day, it just wasn’t to be and the rain came down hard and forecast change to heavy rain warning and they were not wrong !! Boy did it rain !! Fortunately for us we were at the epic Red barn for Saturdays wedding and the ceremony was moved indoors so the 130 guests were kept dry and comfortable…

Peter and Jennifer didn’t really care about the rain and the smiles and love and warmth from family loved ones and special guest who had travelled from as far away as Ireland just made it such an epic day !!

The Wedding of Ben and Katie, The Red Barn

What an epic day !!!! Ben and Katie were married on Saturday at The Red Barn and what fabulous day they had to!!

I started my day with the boys at The Red barn with a quick getting ready photo shoot before heading off to the girls who were not that far away, getting ready at The Rocks accommodation just two minutes away.. they also opted for a first look and all the photos done before the ceremony as they wanted to spend as much time as possible after the ceremony with family and friends and loved ones…..

Jamie and Shannon | Woodside Estate and Karangahake Gorge Waihi Wedding

I feel like i’ve known Jamie and Shannon for years and in many ways I have as they first booked me for their wedding day over 3 years ago and then the global pandemic hit and our borders closed so family were un able to travel here to be part of the big day and the big day was postponed, not just once but three times !!

Finally with restrictions easing and the borders opening to Australia they were able to lock the big day back in and family were able to travel here to be part of the day….. And what a day they had too, fun relaxed and surrounded by loved ones….. Simply perfect !

The Wedding of Joel and Journey Te Miro Woolshed

Well after a long wait Joel and journey finally got the day they had been dreaming of and were married at Te Miro Wool shed here in the Waikato, And what a day they had too, absolutely gorgeous weather and even though they had had to make the decision to shorten the day and make alterations to the original plan, they had so much fun and were just super super happy to finally be married .

James and Valerie, Hobbiton movie Set, Matamata Pre weddng shoot

James and Valerie travelled up from Wellington on Friday and a cruisy 6-hour drive turned into a 10-hour drive thanks to delays and roadworks but that didn’t stop them turning up on Saturday morning at Hobbiton Movie set Matamata with the biggest smiles on their faces and with such enthusiasm ready for their 10 am private photography tour.

The weather was perfect for us so we headed down into the movie set to start their private photo tour and capture some epic memories for them to share.

The Wedding of Mitchell and Danielle | Narrows landing

Mitchell and Danielle have had to wait a while for this day to happen, their plans of a short engagement went to custard after a certain pesky pandemic put a spanner in the works forcing them to postpone the big day for a while, But the big day did come around and what a fantastic day it was too !!

I started my day at Narrows landing with the bridal party in the gorgeous bridal suite there so we were very lucky to have such an amazing location for the girls to get ready.

The ceremony was held late afternoon in the Conservatory at Narrows landing before whisking them quickly round the grounds and back inside for some creative lighting captures… How gorgeous are these two !!

The Wedding of Mica and Courtney | Te Miro farm wedding

Well MIca and Courtney’s wedding on Saturday was the last wedding for me for this year and It couldn’t have gone better, such a special day, and full of so much love, with a deep connection to each other and their faith that is so strong and so powerful you could feel it in the earth coming up through you like an electrical charge, you just knew you were part of something that much bigger than you will ever understand…. Oh and don’t forget the giggles , the boys brought their A game and provided us with entertainment for the bridal party shoot that was legendary !

The Wedding of Rachael and Jonny | Zenders Cafe and Function center

Jonny and Rachael were married at Zenders here in the Waikato , I started my day with the girls at an amazing air bnb on the banks of the Waikato river before heading on to the venue for the ceremony, the weather was very unsettled with some moody skies threatening rain while the ceremony was taking place, Everyone remained dry through the ceremony which was great for the guest and wedding party alike!!

I headed out on Saturday to photograph the wedding of Andre and Zoe here in Hamilton, and what a wonderful day it was too ! Zoe had opted to get ready at the family home not far from the church the family attend and surrounded by memories of a wonderful child hood and growing up into the young vibrant intelligent and kind young lady she is today she was helped into her wedding dress by her bridesmaids and mother before heading to the church where Andre was waiting .

The Wedding of Corbyn and Kimberly

Corbyn and Kimberly tied the knot on Saturday at Windy ridge wedding and function center just up the road in Ohaupo , with the bride staying at Ohaupo Olives which is literally 2 mins away and gorgeous setting for us to pop back to for bridal party photos. The day started off hot and sunny and that’s the way it stayed with guest arriving at the venue and heading for cover under the beautiful tress they have on the lawn by the ceremony location. Surrounded by family and friends they said there vows and exchanged rings and sealed the deal with a kiss ! Thanks so much for such a great day and thankyou for your genuine warmth and hospitality, you guys are amazing !!

Such a joy to be part for Andrew & Tarryn’s wedding held at The Boat shed with stunning views of Lake Karapiro in the back ground… Andrew said the sweetest thing to us as the ceremony had just ended and both the celebrant I were starting to plan the group photos , he said, “ I don’t care what happens now with the day, Tarryn said yes, shes my wife and I am so happy’…….. Brought a little tear to my eye seeing his face full of happiness and that’s all you really need to know…they were just so happy !!!!

Reuben & Maree | Waikato | New Years Eve Wedding

Love a good New Years Eve party and even better when a couple choose to have their wedding on this day too !! Maree and Reuben had the perfect venue…..their own home for their ceremony and had put so much effort into the gardens and decorating the lawns , it all looked amazing. The day started off a little grey but still very warm and as the morning progressed the sun came out and really turned on the heat !! Maree & Reuben had opted for a first look at the boutique lodge Maree and the girls were getting ready at and oh my days…such a perfect place for them to see each other for the first time in all their finest !! Ross & Gemma | Wedding | 17th November 2018

Ross and Gemma had the most perfect day for their wedding, held on the family property at Eureka. I started off meeting the boys for a quick shoot to capture a few photos of them getting ready before heading off to the ceremony location, and where Gemma and her bridesmaids were getting ready. The ceremony couldn’t have been more perfect with lots of laughter and few happy tears and afterwards we headed into the apple orchard for some photos in the much needed shade of the mature trees…

Kelly and Paula's Red Barn Wedding

Kelly and Paula couldn’t have chosen a more perfect day for their wedding, the day before it was pouring down and yet the morning of their big day the clouds had cleared and skies was a brilliant blue, such a fantastic day, a wedding packed full of happiness, laughter, emotion and so much love, and it was a privilege to be a part of their day.

The Red Barn here in the Waikato is situated high on the hills with expansive views across the valley and used to be used as an old coaching house. Kelly and Paula exchanged vows and got married under the old Oak tree

I started the day a The red Barn photographing the boys getting ready with his groomsmen, and walked in to a group of very relaxed guys and knew that this was going to be a really fun wedding. After photographing the boys I set off to take some shots of Paula and her bridesmaids as she got ready at The Rocks house and again, they were all really relaxed and looking forward to the day

The rest of the day was just perfect with the most amazing weather!

Peter and Felicity had a gorgeous Red Barn wedding late September, and as if the venue couldn't have looked any more stunning than usual we were blessed with the most amazing late afternoon light on the driveway, leaving deep shadows and golden highlights it was so dreamy !!
